This ventilated beekeeping suit features the classic style round veil, with all of the innovative features unique to Guardian Bee Apparel’s bee protection suits. The round veil gives you a full 360 degree view, and is ventilated with 3-layer mesh material to help protect you from stings while keeping you cool. The left and right hand zippers provide easy access to your face. This veil features an elastic band to help prevent the veil from shifting, and zips securely to the suit for protection from curious bees.
Our highly-sting resistant, ventilated, 3-layer mesh material keeps you cool and confident, while our triple zipper system gives you easy access while still offering protection. Upper, lower, and sleeve pockets give you even more access to the tools you need, and all pockets are reinforced to prevent blowouts. Tips on sizing: The sizing of our suits are largely based off of height, and ours run big. A small suit would typically fit a person ranging from about 5’2” to 5″5. XL would typically fit a person of 5’10 to 6’. 5XL puts you up around 7′! If you are more robust you can adjust the size up to compensate for that.Still worried about finding the right fit? The suit works great except for one thing. The hat fits down snug around t top of the head and the bees sting the top of head right in the same place over and over. Just took the suit off and pulling stingers out of the top of my head. I just need to put a rag or something in the hat to stop them from stinging through. Would be nice if the company added some kind of extra protection in that one area of the suit.
I do like the suit though and feel very confident working in it with the bees. And I have a couple of really non friendly hives right now and they swarm me. Other than the top of my head I have been completely protected and they have certainly put it to the test. I would recommend this suit with the recommendation that you put some kind of extra protection in the top of the hat.
I absolutely love this veil. I added a fresnel lens so I don't have to put on reading glasses to see eggs. It is wonderful
I am happy with my purchase. The suit is heavy and well made but the wind blows right through it. The hat is much easier the see through then my last suit. It took me 2 days to get used to the zippers. Now I love it.
I like that it is lighter and cooler than some other ventilated jackets. The downside of that quality is that it wears out sooner than heavier jackets.
I love my new bee suit! Great quality and fit.
